The Entryway System That Ends the Daily Scramble

Most morning chaos happens in the first three feet of the front door. Keys vanish, shoes scatter, yesterday’s mail breeds on the counter. A simple entryway system turns that pinch point into a smooth landing.
Give everything a landing spot
- A hook or bowl for keys — the same one, every time.
- A tray or mat for shoes, so they don’t wander.
- A single spot for bags, and a slim basket for incoming mail.
Handle mail once
The mail pile is where entryways go to die. Deal with it standing up: recycle the junk immediately, and put anything that needs action in one visible spot — never face-down on the counter “for later.”
Set it up the night before
The system only saves your morning if it’s loaded the night before: bags packed, shoes paired, keys on the hook. Two minutes at night buys a calm exit in the morning.
